My mistake. Emails about scheduling were only sent to high school students. Middle school schedules are set.

To all High School and Middle School students: Please check your school email. Mrs. Finn sent out emails on Monday 7/20/20 looking for feedback on your schedules. She will be finishing up schedules for next year by tomorrow and hopes to email final schedules by Monday 7/27/20. Reply by tomorrow to make any changes now. You can also make changes as needed at the beginning of the school year if necessary.

July 20, 2020 Dear Goodman-Armstrong Creek Parents, Caregivers, Students and Community Members: I would like to share with you tentative plans for the health, safety, and wellness for students and staff members as we look forward to a new school year in fall. At this time it is our hope to begin the school year with everyone physically present. Please be aware that these plans are constantly under review and may change between now and September 1st. We continue to monitor local health department COVID numbers and will also use recommendations by the Centers for Disease Control and health care authorities in our decision making process for the foreseeable future. The following safeguards and protocols will be implemented in an effort to provide safe and healthy learning environments for everyone. To that end, we will: Monitor and restrict all non-essential visitors to the schools. Maintain a log of shared staff between GAC schools and other local educational providers. Daily track student and staff member attendance and maintenance of a symptoms log to assist in contact tracking if needed. Note that individuals with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported – ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19: Fever or chills, Cough, Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, Fatigue, Muscle or body aches, Headache, New loss of taste or smell, Sore throat, Congestion or runny nose, Nausea or vomiting, and Diarrhea. This list does not include all possible symptoms. Schedule frequent hand washing and sanitizing during the school day. Posted throughout the schools will be signage reminding everyone of proper hand washing guidelines and ways to help stop the spread of germs. Create physical distancing of students and adults in shared areas such as classrooms, hallways, lunchroom and gymnasium. Utilization of face coverings, masks and/or face shields to assist in reducing the spread of viruses. Designate locations in each building to separate students and staff who become ill while at school from others. Clean and disinfect daily according to established CDC and health department guidelines. The district will make every effort to remain open for teaching and learning to occur. You can help us to do so by taking proper care of yourself and others and by practicing safety measures that are likely to reduce the spread of the coronavirus. NOTE: In the event a person diagnosed with COVID-19 is determined to have been in the building and poses a risk to the community, it may be necessary for the school to close for a certain time period for cleaning and disinfection. The Goodman-Armstrong Creek School will discuss the appropriate management with our local health department for guidance. Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions and concerns as they arise. Respectfully, Steven M. Bloom, District Administrator/Principal Goodman-Armstrong Creek School District 715-36-2240, ext. 203 sbloom@goodman.k12.wi.us
