PTO Smelt Fry Postponed/Cancelled


First and Second graders are learning about birds and what kind of food and feeders are best for different birds. Today they built some bird feeders. Stay tuned for their finished products.

Six welding students participated in a welding competition today. An instructor from Nicolet College came to the school and gave the boys their challenge. He took the entries back to be judged if they pass they will move on to the final April 3rd, Good luck!

Grades 3-6 will compete in the elementary library. Grades 7&8 will compete in Mrs. Slawinskis classroom.


Here is a shop stool that was was made by one of the advanced woods class students from reclaimed plywood. It has storage under the seat and an
integrated drawer. Great job!




A big thank you to Mike Smith for volunteering his time and equipment to the auto/engines class teaching them computer diagnostics for a auto competition at Nicolet College.




The GAC elementary is looking for community members who would be willing to read a book or two with our students during the mornings of March 2-March 5th to celebrate Read Across America! GAC is proud to announce Erin Goode, daughter of Sara and Scott Goode of Armstrong Creek, as the third place winner of the CESA 8 Regional Spelling Bee held at Gillett School District Auditorium on February 13, 2020. Erin’s victory qualifies her to attend the Badger State Spelling Bee in Madison at the Mitby Theater on March 7, 2020. Erin competed against 15 other students from the region and will advance to state alongside 2 fellow competitors. Congratulations to Erin on a well-deserved win!

1st/2nd grade students started designing their first Lego robots in technology class. The excitement was very hard to contain!

The 7th grade woods finished their first group project. They built a sock puppet stage for a play they are doing in English class. Hopefully their stage will be used for more classes in the future. Great job on the details.

Another big ice shanty/deer stand stove project completed. Good welds and unique idea for the draft on the door. Great job!




Mike S. built a cabinet for the Goodman Fire department to store their spare air tanks. The specs were to store at least eight tanks, make them easily accessible and to make it strong. Mike came up with the design, built it and dropped it off this last weekend. Great work Mike!
