Notification of School Closure - December 15, 2020
Due to the presence of COVID-19 cases and contact tracing results in our district a determination has been made to temporarily close our schools. This decision is not made lightly and is being made in the best interest for the safety and well-being of our students and staff members. The district understands that closing schools places an unexpected burden on our families. Your support and understanding at this time is very much appreciated. The closure will begin on Wednesday, December 16th and will last through the previously scheduled Winter Break.
School will resume on Monday, January 4th, 2021 as previously scheduled. Teachers will be communicating with their students regarding instructional expectations in each grade level and subject area. All students are expected to participate fully in virtual learning through noon on December 23rd. Also, breakfast and lunch meal distribution will occur for meals planned through lunch on Wednesday, December 23rd.
For the time being, the boys junior varsity and varsity basketball practices and games are postponed until further notice. Girls basketball practices and games scheduled during the closure will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
