Congratulations to Minna Yang! She was voted to be the first Artist of the Month of the 2024/2025 school year.
She joined the other 7 schools in the Association of Student Artists for a lunch at The Chippewa Club in Iron Mountain, MI. After lunch, the students had the opportunity to meet with Erica Land to create friendship bracelets.

The PK-2nd Grade art classes learned about the element of art: LINES
Using black crayons they practiced different types of lines, and then we went over the lines with watercolors. The wax in the crayons created a resistance against the watercolor paint so the lines shone through. Later, we turned the paintings into a paper lantern!

Last Friday, the 3rd and 4th-grade class took a trip to participate in Environmental Field Day - an in-depth look at various environmental topics such as habitat, forestry & fire control, wildlife, composting, insects, geology, fisheries, and water quality.

Please join us on Monday, September 30th, at Peshtigo Elementary Learning Center for a light meal and a parent education event on youth substance use and mental health awareness featuring Keynote Speaker, Matt Bellace, PhD. Event is open to ALL area parents and adults who want to learn more on these topics.
Participants in attendance will be eligible for a variety of prizes such as a BOGG Bag, TACTACAM Trail Cam, Large Screen TV, gift cards, and more! FREE childcare will be provided.
