The Holiday Concert has been rescheduled for Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at 6:30PM. Families who haven't yet donated items/gift baskets for the raffle can still bring them in by January 4th. Elementary students report to the High School Art room at 6:15p.m and MS/HS students should report to the band room at 6:00p.m.
The Goodman-Armstrong Creek School District has become aware of a troubling post that has been shared widely this week on social media. The post refers to a threat to school safety for every school in the USA including elementary buildings for tomorrow, Friday, December 17. This trend did not originate in our school district, but appears to be circulating nationwide. While we do not believe the threat to be credible, we are closely monitoring the situation and taking it seriously. Additionally, the district has been in contact with the Marinette County Sheriff’s Department regarding the post. We may have police visit our building on Friday as an additional precaution.
These types of threats, even if they are not credible, can cause a great deal of stress and anxiety for our students, families, and staff. We ask you to monitor their children’s social media activity and speak with them about proper behavior online. If you or your child become aware of any potential threat posted to social media or anywhere else, please notify a school staff member or trusted adult right away. Individuals can always report suspicious behavior to the Marinette County Dispatch at 715-732-7627 or the Forest County Dispatch at 715-478-3331. In an emergency you may simply dial 911.

Students are rehearsing, instruments have been tuned, and Raffle iItems are being brought in. Christmas Concert starts at 6:30 tonight in the HS gym.
The seventh grade art class created tin foil relief artwork using sharpies on tin foil. They could create an abstract design or an image of their own. The students really enjoyed this project. Great job, class!
In October the high school students completed the Teen Mental Health First Aid training. This evidence based mental health and substance training taught students the skills they need to support their friends while seeking help from an adult. 9-12th grade students completed the 3 day training and received a certificate. The GAC staff completed the trading this summer before the school year began.
The 8th grade woods class has been working hard building new shop stools. They got to personalize the seats with the cnc router. They are assembled and started finishing them this morning. Great job!

A few art class pictures. Marie is working on a tinfoil relief project. Our 5/6th graders are just starting a wire project. Safety first! The seventh graders just completed an Artstraw design. Finally, the 3/4 graders with the beginning of their mitten artwork.
The tradition continues of showing our holiday spirit with the class decorating of the school entrance and hallways. It’s always amazing to see how much is accomplished in a short period of time when they work together as a team.
The senior class is selling fruit, meat and cheese durning the month of December. Contact Mr. Slawinski for more information.
The GAC Holiday Concert has been rescheduled for Wednesday, December 15 at 6:30pm. The regular school board meeting that night will therefore start at 5:00pm instead of its normal 6:30 start.

6:00pm- Middle and High School students meet in the band room.
6:15pm- Elementary students should meet in the high school art room to get their props and line up. After elementary students perform they can sit with their parents.

Good evening. I am texting to inform you of the current positive COVID cases at school. Over the last few days the Phy. Ed. teacher, an elementary aid, and I have tested positive for COVID-19. All families have been notified of close contacts, but as always please monitor for any symptoms. I have not received any reports of students who have tested positive for COVID-19. As of right now school is open tomorrow and the Christmas concert/program is still on for tomorrow evening. Due to staff illness and a lack of substitute teachers school will be closed today, Tuesday, Dec. 7. Again school will be closed today. I will be monitoring the situation to decide if we will be closed tomorrow as well. I will inform families and staff as soon as I know if that change needs to be made.
