After learning about the Great Wall of China in Social Studies, the 5th and 6th graders had to try and build their own wall using only paper! They all were very unique!

The 5th and 6th graders are busy typing their rough draft of their research based opinion writing. The question students are answering is “Should animals be in zoos?” After researching benefits and negatives of animals in zoos, they chose a side and had to support it with evidence from their research. They have been working really hard!

Happy TWOsday! These two 5th graders celebrated 2-22-22 by thinking of many ways to make 22,222. They used all of their math skills that they’ve learned throughout the year including: multiplying and dividing fractions, multiplying decimals, multiplying by powers of 10, and much more.

The Fab Lab is designing and 3D printing their own mini screwdrivers. All their designs are original and must fit a 1/4" bit. Great imagination and projects.

Inspired by the ideas of the sophomore class for real-life reading, we put together a literary feast. For our Gothic Literature Unit we made Edgar Allan “Poe” Boy Sandwiches with a spicy remoulade sauce.

Our reading practice today yielded some delicious results. We did our first Literary Recipes Lab. Seniors made “Sleepy Hollow” Dutch Apple Oatmeal.

Happy Valentine’s Day! The 5th and 6th grade class was inspired by Valentines when creating their tin foil relief art project.

Seventh graders baked and decorated sugar skull cookies that coincided with their sugar skull prints they made last week while learning about the Day of the Dead. They had earned classroom rewards all semester to have a fun class period which still had a cultural lesson.

A student at the middle high school building has tested positive for COVID-19. Parents have been notified already if their child has to quarantine. If your child is sick we ask that you keep him/her at home until they are symptom-free. This will help us all stay at school. -Mrs. Wysocki
